Stomp is a skill in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Use one's weight to lunge forward with a low stance and increased poise, and follow with a crushing strong attack.

Skill commonly seen on greatswords and ultra greatswords. When activated, the player will crouch for a brief moment with increased poise that will render them almost invulnerable, whilst slowly building up enough force to culminate with a furious slash upward with their weapon that will send enemies flying high up in the air.

Useful when engaging stronger foes but not as versatile when fending off smaller and/or faster enemies due to the slow build-up time it requires; still, may prove useful for dealing with mobs. An additional benefit is that enemies that have been sent flying will remain on the ground for a short time, leaving them at the player's mercy and ready to be finished off.

Online gameplayEdit

A very useful skill that can completely turn the tables of an encounter. In addition to the poise increase this skill provides, it also grants several invincibility frames at the beginning. This can be very useful while trading hits with an opponent, which may take them off balance, or simply to allow the player to infiltrate their personal space.
