The wiki claims that you can pay for absolution and remove PvP sin (Indictment) but it is not correct. The only way to reduce PvP Sin is by dying by the sword of a Blade of Darkmoon. You can not reduce your indictment by reqeusting absolution.

But it doesn't prevent Blades of Darkmoon from invading your world. The only way to prevent that is by losing to them. Each death reduces a single point of indictment.
Indictment is PvP sin which is totally different than PvE sin. You can request for absolution to clear your PvE sin but if you get indicted by another player, you can't clear that by paying for absolution.
Don't trust Wikidot. They don't put references on what they write.
I can confirm that PvE and PvP sin both allow Darkmoons to invade. I've been invaded on multiple characters where I haven't even met any other players, but killed one or more NPCs.
You can also remove the sin for killing Gwynevere, which allows you to join the Darkmoons.

Have you ever got invaded after requesting absolution?

Not sure what that has to do with anything, but no. You can't be invaded after requesting absolution as this means that the Darkmoons doesn't have anyone/thing to avenge.

I belive sin is added for Killing GWYNEVERE, and you can no longer join the darkmoons becuase GWYNDOLIN sets Anor Londo into twlight. thus he is the boss.
