The whole purpose of this blog is to get more people into editing. And I'd like to remind people that editing is NOT required, but it's still helpful.
Reasons to Edit[]
- Editing can be fun at times.
- Better content = more users, and I'm sure all of us want this wiki to live long.
- Earning badges can put you on the Leaderboard
- You'll be helping.
- J̶o̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶C̶o̶o̶p̶e̶r̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶!̶
How to begin editing[]
Now, if you want to begin editing, I'll try to cover some stuff in the sections below.
Expanding Pages[]
If you just want to expand pages, try surfing through these categories. http://darksouls.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Incomplete http://darksouls.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Article_stubs. Remember, if you see a page that should not be in those categories, remove the categories as soon as possible.
Adding images[]
Images are one of the most important parts of a wiki, and they are also one of the easiest ways to help a wiki. To add an image, you will want to press the contribute button on the top right corner, then select Add a Image. It should take you to This page

After that, you need to name your image, and select the licensing, after you upload it, it should be ready to put on a page.
Now, you need to edit the article of choice, and there's two ways to go.
One way is to to Visual mode, add features and media and select Photo. You should see your image somewhere. Add it, size it, or add a caption to it, remember to place the image in a good spot, and you're done!
Now, if you want to add an image into an infobox you'll need to go into source mode, and insert the filename inside the infobox code.

Adding Categories[]
This is another important part of helping the wiki, and it is very easy to do. (you don't even have to go into an editor!)
First you need to go on a page, and at the bottom of pages, there is a list of categories, and a button to add categories.
Adding missing data[]
Adding missing data doesn't always mean you have to crunch up a bunch of numbers, or do some math. It can be as easy as typing numbers inside an template.
