Water is a substance that produces a status effect in Dark Souls II.
If the player becomes wet, their appearance takes on a darker shade and they will leave footprints of water. Becoming wet also modifies the player's resistance to Lightning and Fire simultaneously. This status effect lasts for a few moments, depending on how much water the player is covered in. For example, standing knee deep in water will cause the effect to wear off quicker, as opposed to being completely covered in water.
Effects[]
Fire and Lightning Defense[]
Becoming wet increases Fire Defense by 300 points, but decreases Lightning Defense by 150 points.
Cleansing[]
If the player is poisoned or covered in oil, rolling into any body of water will remove the effect.
