For the Dark Souls II equivalent, see Ring of Giants.
For the Dark Souls III variant, see Wolf Ring (Dark Souls III).

The Wolf Ring is one of the many rings in Dark Souls. Along with the Hornet Ring, the Hawk Ring, and the Leo Ring, the Wolf Ring was one of the rings granted to the Four Knights of Gwyn, in this case Artorias.

In-Game Description

One of the special rings granted to the four knights of Gwyn. The wolf ring belongs to Artorias the Abysswalker. Artorias had an unbendable will of steel, and was unmatched with a greatsword.

Availability[]

Found in a secret area in the Darkroot Garden. The secret route is located in the area right before the Moonlight Butterfly, hidden by a Possessed Tree. From there, head directly left through a stone tunnel. There is a Stone Knight near the beginning of the tunnel and another near the end; if the first is avoided, he will attack the player from behind when the player approaches the second.

General information[]

The Wolf Ring grants an additional 40 Poise to its wearer.

Overview[]

An additional 40 poise is very hefty considering how the average full medium set of armor has 30-50 poise. High poise is useful for fighting enemies that hit hard, but are tough to evade. In PvP, poise tends to be essential for players that do not wish to get stun-locked; the Wolf Ring may come in very handy there. Overall, the Wolf Ring best suits wearers of medium armor; the 40 poise is probably not enough to help with most lightly-armored characters, and wearers of heavy armor already do not need to worry about being staggered.
